General Info - How Things Work
-Rush requires AAU Membership for liability coverage before training.
-Tournaments are up to each player to sign up, enter and pay for. You can play with the same partner or pick a new partner for each tournament. Tournaments are usually about $84 for the pair, divide by 2 players. 1 person will sign up both players and pay, the other person will need to venmo etc.
-Each tournament is affiliated with one of the main circuits and will require a membership for each of the ones you play. AAU, BRQ, AVP, BVNE P1440. Those memberships are around $15-20 each. You can schedule just one of the circuits or any number of them.
-When you enter a tournament, your team (2 players) will use your combined TXBVA seeding points to place you in pools. Normally there will be 4 or 5 teams in a pool. Usually 1 set to 21 with each team. How you do in pool play will place you in a bracket. Bracket is single elimination, usually 1 set to 21.
-Many clubs do not have coaches representing teams at tournaments. Rush does not require coaches to attend tourneys but Jamey tries to attend and help when possible.
